Windjammers Sailing Club/Tall Oaks Yacht Club 2018 Cup Race. This years race took place as part of the Metedeconk River Yacht Club's 'Down Bay Invitational. A total of fifteen boats took part. Perfect sailing weather made for a great end of the season race.

Tall Oaks Yacht Club: RACING 101. Shake Down Race day to review racing rules and tactical information followed by the Race Committee boat setting up a short course with horn count down and appropriate flags being used. Up to windward mark and back to finish line. Short (15 min races) for the purpose of finding your groove and practicing starts and roundings. Four races in total. Had a great time crewing on Dennis' 1970 Morgan 30 which did very well. Looking forward now to the Summer Race Series starting. Tall Oaks Yacht Club's Race #4....So it's a little cloudy, so it might rain.....so it's windy....oh wait is that Lightning?! Just as we are close to the start the weather turns ugly and the race is canceled. Join us aboard Cacique with Skipper Dennis and his crew Lori and Kevin.

Tall Oaks Yacht Club Summer Race Series....Racing Cacique, a 1970 Morgan 30. With race #1 canceled because of weather we jump to race #2. Bob could not join us so Dennis invited Lori to fill his spot. We didn't have a very good start but kept close for a bit before falling back and finishing fifth. (There were only five boats.) Had a great day and learned a few more things about sailboat racing. Now it's all about practice.....and some luck. ;)

Sailboat racing! At long last back on the water with Dennis and Lori aboard Cacique, a 1970 Morgan 30 for Tall Oaks Yacht Club's Shakedown Practice Race.

First race of the Tall Oaks Yacht Club 2017 season. Not quite ready to try and race Dorothea so I had planned to sit this one out. Then Terry asked me if I wanted to help crew his Beneteau 36CC in the race, of course I couldn't say no. We had a crew of five; Terry, Kevin_1, Kevin_2(that's me) Vicky & Rick. Had a blast finishing the course in third place, still waiting for the official scoring after handicap adjustments are made. Once again I join Terry to help crew his Beneteau 36C along with his friend John. The last race of the season is the Challenge Cup Race between Tall Oaks Yacht Club and Windjammers Sailing Club. It was a superb day out on Barnegat Bay for sailing....had a blast thanks Terry. 2019...Tall Oaks Yacht Club's Summer Race Series is on! Wind 20-25 with higher gusts....Fun! Sailing aboard Cacique, a 1970 Morgan 30. Crew: Dennis, Lori, Chris & Kevin Race set in the Barnegat Bay. We finished third out of four boats after final scoring.
